One of the main advantages of the TEST-OK system is that it can replace the testing sites of functional and in-circuit testers that no longer meet today's requirements or are out of order.

There are situations where a testing site is a complete arrangement of specific functional, and in-circuit test equipment which is still operational because of maintenance and repair or for small production quantities of a specific board. These testing sites are time and space consuming but replacement is often problematic because of the relatively high investment for a new test system and sometimes absence of well-documented specifications to rebuild the site.

The TEST-OK system offers a solution for this dilemma for a limited investment. With the TEST-OK a Module can be designed with additional electronics in order to make a combination of in-circuit and functional testing. Furthermore, in most cases backwards engineering is possible, therefore on one TEST-OK system the complete test procedure is improved to a modern level.
