The profiles are necessary for framing the modules. These profiles are made of aluminum and together with the corner parts are standard mechanical parts. The following images show how the frames are constructed.

Profile
Side view of the standard profile as mentioned above. The module boards ( FR-4, 3.2 mm) are inserted in the bottom slot. The topmost slot is reserved for the connector board (FR-4, 1.6 mm) which can be combined with electrical components. The centre slot can be used for for example an transparent acrylic plate (PMMA/PET, 5.0 mm) which can be used for e.g. mounting displays.

Corner piece
Corner pieces are constructed of two small metal plates and a plastic holder. These corner pieces are indentical for every corner and are used to connect two profiles with one another.
